On This Good Earth
How can I get you to slow down
How can I get you to close your eyes
Would you like to lie down
Laying on grass is so very nice
If you have a hard floor you can still imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine
Times stopped the seconds hand dropped
Bring all things to a grinding halt
The end of time crossing into timelessness
Where all things infinite reside
Can I slow down
Can I close my eyes
Can I lie on the ground and feel governed
By something other than a construct
A web
A matrix in my head
Presenting me with fictional pleasures
Imagined dystopias
Preferred realities
Corrupting the collective imagination
Its essence
Its power of manifestation
Can I get you to slow down
Can I get you to close your eyes
Can I get you to let go
Can I get you to forget time
And still we choose systems that enslave
Unconscious participants
In self subjugation
Suppressors of others
Fear our justification
Will you slow down
Will you close your eyes
Will you let go
And breath into the stillness of time
When did your tender heart harden
We you scared of being that mad fool
Does it occur to you that centuries have colonised the human mind
But the human spirit never dies
Slow down with me
Close your eyes with me
Lie on the grass and breathe deeply
letting go for the first time
Imaging the world as yours and mine
